Combining modern marine concepts with artistic savoir faire, the new Silver Nova from Silversea is an astonishing development in the world of ultra-luxury refinement – not to mention a total stunner.
Silver Nova’s asymmetrical design delivers unobstructed views and staggering panoramas from every venue, connecting all 728 guests with even more of the ocean and the skylines of the iconic ports of call. Most of the outer walls are glass, as are the elegant glass elevators, eliminating barriers for a seamless feel, an openness as yet unseen on the cruise scene. As well, many of the restaurant designs take the walls all the way to the edge of the ship, and the same goes for the horseshoe-shaped pool area, providing more space to relax and recharge.
State-of-the-art technologies make the Silver Nova one of the most sustainable cruise ships at sea. This mirrors the Silversea commitment to protecting the oceans and all marine environments, as well as the communities that rely on them.
Life on board is a pure wave of pleasure
In all, eight restaurants and 10 bars satiate every food and beverage whim. Atlantide is the main dining room, with an impressive buffet served at La Terrazza, which offers outdoor seating, even at night. The Japanese-influenced Kaiseki incorporates the cuisines of Vietnam, Thailand, India, Korea and China.
Guests learn more about the foodways of the regions the ship visits with cooking classes in the S.A.L.T. Lab, which stands for Sea and Land Taste. Adjacent, the S.A.L.T. Kitchen restaurant carries on with the theme, the menus matching the cuisine of the destination.
You can relish a multi-course French meal at La Dame or simply sit down to a simple pizza and beer in Spaccanapoli – the range of choices is very satisfying. The Arts Café, located near reception – really, the hub of the ship – makes it even easier to grab a quick snack. And 24-hour in-suite dining brings the comfort food home.
Downtime delivers a wealth of comfort
With a whole new class of ship design comes an evolution in suite comfort and style. Of the Silver Nova’s 13 suite categories, seven of them are new to Silversea. Rooms are concentrated on decks six through nine for the entire ship’s length, with some suites facing directly aft.
The discerning design emits a residential touch, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private glass balcony leaving things open and airy. Decorative lighting, Italian-influenced materials and natural colors blend perfectly to create an intimate atmosphere.
And the service? The Silversea personalized butler service and extremely high crew-to-guest ratio remain among the brand's defining hallmarks of luxury.
When guests have an inkling to take things slower, the Otium Spa offers a sensorial wellness experience across the board. With a concept that leans on the indulgence of the ancient Romans and the notion of self-care, the spa provides a soothing and sophisticated setting. Bespoke artwork is highlighted throughout the Spa, Beauty Salon and Fitness Center, further augmenting the aesthetic.
