Regent Seven Seas: The New Grandeur & Epicurean Perfection
By Tully Luxury Travel | 10-31-2023 |
The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet is about to be even more lavish – and exciting. With the introduction of the Seven Seas Grandeur, Regent Seven Seas Cruises will raise the bar on luxury mid-size cruise-ship elegance. This sister ship to the Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Splendor is the sixth in the Regent fleet, carrying 746 guests to some of the most phenomenal destinations in the world.
Designed by Studio DADO, an award-winning hospitality interior design studio, the new vessel proves once again how capably Regent holds the reins to the highest standards of luxury cruising in the waters today. Elegant, stylish and comfortable, with a higher-than-average staff-to-guest ratio, the Grandeur exemplifies the cruise line’s “heritage of perfection” tenet across 15 suite categories – and an astonishingly elaborate new culinary program.
Experience a new level of Epicurean Perfection.
In addition to personalized service and supreme comfort, immersive destinations and engaging excursions, the Seven Seas Grandeur, Explorer and Splendor have unveiled a gastronomic exposition, a feast of food specialties. The new program offers all-inclusive indulgence, going well beyond the standard inclusions of most specialty restaurants on premium cruise ships, with three separate tiers of culinary wonder:

Epicurean Indulgence
As you might expect, the culinary experiences offered by Regent Seven Seas run the range, the signature restaurants outdoing themselves time and again.
Compass Rose is perhaps the largest specialty restaurant at sea, giving guests an unrivalled breadth of culinary perfection, even allowing for the customization of dishes – curated to your specific tastes. Prime 7 is an intimate and elegant steakhouse offering elevated American classics, while Chartreuse comes through with reinvented yet still traditional French fare. Pacific Rim is a dynamic and dramatic specialty restaurant featuring a diverse array of Pan-Asian dishes.
And not only does La Veranda showcase incredible ocean views, but it also allows for indoor-outdoor buffet specialties for breakfast and lunch, and then in the evening becomes the delightful and very satisfying, Sette Mari at La Veranda highlights authentic Italian cuisine and fine wines.

Epicurean Explorations
While cultural immersion can be expected in every region Regent sails, shoreside culinary experiences send guests out to spoil themselves on land, exploring food markets and gourmet shops, taking part in inventive food tastings and tours, and learning about traditional cooking methods in authentic regional kitchens.
On the Regent Epicurean Explorer Tours, veteran chefs whisk you away to an ancient market, an outdoor kitchen in the countryside or a world-class restaurant, before bringing you back to the ship to expand on your knowledge in the Culinary Arts Kitchen – a professional-grade culinary teaching facility.
Wine & Spirits Tours offer regional tastings – everything from vineyard cellars in Bordeaux to tasting rooms in a distillery in Ireland. And for the Food & Wine Tours, culinary experts in partnership with epicurean tour company Food & Wine Trails will introduce you to some of the best food and beverage experiences in the world.
Epicurean Enrichment
Just as trying new tastes is part of every travel adventure, so, too, is learning about the science behind the sustenance. Sharpen your kitchen skills and satisfy your inner gourmand with hands-on cooking classes that are sure to have new international dishes working their way into your dinner-menu rotation at home.
Expanding on the success of Regent’s world-class Culinary Arts Kitchen, the Culinary Arts Kitchen Experiences offer even more-involved hands-on classes, plus special demonstrations and tours to augment the learning experience. And Epicurean Spotlight Voyages are a grouping of special sailings curated around a particular culinary interest, with a guest list of award-winning chefs and master vintners leading the way.
The Regent Seven Seas Grandeur has one other alluring particularity – a multimillion-dollar art collection, headlined by a Fabergé Egg entitled Journey in Jewels. It will be the first Fabergé egg in the world to permanently reside at sea. Interestingly, Sarah Fabergé, founding member of the Fabergé Heritage Council and great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé, will serve as Godmother of the Seven Seas Grandeur. Watch for Fabergé-themed Spotlight Voyages coming soon.
